Date Night

My sister and I have talked about doing a double date night with our husbands for YEARS.  Last Saturday, we finally did it!  I was so excited.  I don't get to see my sis very often so to be able to sit and talk to her one on one about things was amazing to say the least.

We went and had an amazing dinner complete with a live band.  We loved the atmosphere.  We were very relaxed and ready to enjoy each others company.

Afterwards, we went to a bar next door and had drinks on the patio.  We were in downtown Houston and the view was amazing.  I really wish I would have had more than just my iphone camera with me.  Mental note: always go to cool new places with camera.  I drank Paradise Martinis.  Never had them before...and they were amazing.  We stayed until 2, got home at 3...alseep by 3:15.  It was so worth it!

A Head full of Autumn

I got my hair did yesterday!  I love it.  I have a "head full of Autumn"!  Beautiful reds with blonde highlights.  The PERFECT fall look!

So, now that I've decorated myself (haha) I'm guessing I need to get that fall mantel done!

Because he loves me

I've been asking my hubby for a new camera for a few months now.  I finally got him convinced to buy it for me when people started wanting to pay me to take photos of them!  So we decided which one, but he kept putting it off.  So last Saturday when I was getting ready at home to go do my VERY FIRST paid photo shoot....he sent me a text:

Hubby:  Go buy your new camera

Me:  How?

Hubby:  With the money I just put in your account!

I was over the moon excited.  I went and got the camera on the way to the shoot.  Didn't even open the box until I was at her house!!  But it all worked out!

Now I can take more photos of my kiddos....My daughter wasn't around for this photo opp.

But this little guy will let me take his photo all day long!

And I even got this lady bug yesterday!

We've got a winner!

Once again I'm super late with my SYTYCD post but what ya gonna do!  Melaine won it!

I know Tadd wasn't going to make it all the way.  But I don't mean that to be ugly.  Tons of props to him for making it to the finale!  That is the farthest a b-boy has ever gone on the show!  I knew they would have first and second place between the two girls!  All of the top 20 are awesome dancers and I know we will be hearing from all of them again.

One thing that surprised me and my daughter when watching the finale....Ryan really stood out.  I don't know if she has been practicing a lot or what.  She was really really good.  I loved all the dances the judges picked at their favorites.  This was one of their best seasons!



Baby sister

Today is my baby sister's 28th birthday!  I've watched her grow up and I honestly get teary eyed thinking about it.  From the little girl with a boy hair cut in overalls to the cute girl with red Sally Jessie Raphael glasses.  She was always some what of a tomboy growing up.  But I've watched her become a beautiful young woman who I love with all my heart and admire in so ways.  The little girl who always thought she would have nothing has everything and more.  I was there when she was pinned in nursing school and that was a wonderful moment.  Then she was there for me when I got married.  She gave the most depressing speech in the world because she didn't think she would find love like I have with my husband.  And then shortly after she met the man of her dreams.  My most heart felt moment...when I watched my baby sister walk down the aisle to become the wife of someone that loved her as much as I did.  So baby girl, I love you so much and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!  You make me proud of the life you have made for yourself.

And they danced

 Sunday night Robert and I were sitting around outside the garage drinking a glass of wine while the kids played.  Then my oldest, Alexys, and youngest, Blake, decided to dance.

 I know what you are thinking....yes, there was music.  But they looked so cute!

Alexys is two-steppin with him hear.  I have to capture these moments now.  As they grow older I know occasions like this will be less frequent.  I use to hate the age gap with the three kids but now I actually like it.  Gives them a chance to appreciate each other for different things.  Besides, the older ones help me take care of the baby and keep my sanity after a sleepless night.

I was feathered, and I liked it!

I went and got my hair done yesterday and my hairdresser asked me if I wanted to get feathered.  I know it is the "new" thing to do, I've seen people with it.  But it's not like I'm a young little thing anymore, plus I didn't really want to spend the extra money.  She showed me what they had to pick from.  They had turquoise feathers!  My favorite color!  I did just get my Scentsy Commission so I said what the hell and I GOT FEATHERED!  I'm the new cool kid on the block, watch out!

Easter morning and Daddy was mowing the grass.  So, Blake went to the window to watch and wait....

Life is good

Ever sit down and feel an overwhelming sense of happiness but you are unsure why?  I did when I sat down to write this post.  I'm not sure why.  There are things that make me sad, upset and even angry....but when it comes down to it....that's just small stuff anyways.

I'm doing better with my Scentsy business then I could have imagined I would.

I have some really awesome friends.

I have 3 beautiful children.

I have an amazing husband.

Life is good!

Nothing much

Look who is the new Scentsy lady to all her friends! I've been a consultant since the 18th and I've been very excited about it. Today I was actually introduced as "Jessie, the Scentsy Lady"....awesome.

I haven't been blogging much lately. No real excuse. I've had tons of stuff going on that is totally blog worthy....but I guess putting it all out there to read is me admitting there are problems, and really, who likes to do that?

My cousin is getting married this weekend. That means the whole family will be in from all different states to visit. I do miss them....but that is alot to take in in one weekend. I have a load family to say the least.

I've continued to lose weight. My smaller portions have made a really big difference. We start a fitness challenge at work on Monday so I hope to start the treadmill on Monday as well. This goes on until the Friday before Memorial Weekend...when bathing suit time officially starts for me. Ugh!

A great Anniversary

Today is mine and hubby's 3rd wedding anniversary. Friday (also my birthday) we will be together 11 years! I have to say....my husband has already out done himself this year.

He switched shifts at work so he could get off at 5 so we could go to dinner. This morning when we woke up, he asked if I was ready to get married. When I got in my car....there was a card waiting for me. I cried before I even opened it. It was so thoughtful of him to have it waiting for me. Usually he buys it the day of and hands it to me at dinner. I opened the card, and it sings "I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery. And he writes: Time Flys when you are having fun.

I love this man more than he will ever know. He has helped me be the woman I am today and he doesn't even realize. I've became both a mother and wife because of him.

Tonight is date night. Alexys is watching the boys. For the first time in a long time, we are going out just the two of us.

I am a day late. Yesterday was my mother's birthday. While she was enjoying her birthday on her day off I was at work dizzy, walking into walls wishing I would just be knocked unconscious until 5.

None the less, it was her birthday! I hope to spend many more with you mom. I love you so much. You are the reason I am who I am today. Hope you had an excellent day!

A child's love

This is one of my favorite photos from Blake's first birthday party. Blake stuck his hand right in Robert's mouth. I love seeing these two together. I think having a child when we are older makes you appreciate things a little more. Don't get me wrong, we totally love our other two kids, but we were both very young. We had no idea what we were doing and were not really mentally "ready" for the family thing. We made it work though. We have three wonderful kids that are my pride and joy! You don't know love until you have a love from a child...so precious and pure. Hug your babies a little more!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have been on the ball this Valentine's day! I bought all the kids stuff last week. I got valentine's Chinese take out boxes and filled them full of goodies for the kids. I also got my husband a nice bottle of wine and a lovey dovey card. I woke up at 2:30 this morning to put everything out. I wanted my daughter, who wakes up before me, to have hers waiting for her. I even facebooked my hubby happy valentine's day before going to bed. At least my hubby noticed. He even pointed out that I was on the ball. Here's some photos from the morning:

My cutie pie, Blake, he has morning allergies so his eyes are always puffy in the am. But he is still cute as hell.

When Devon got out of the car when I dropped him off at school he wrote I love you on my window. He's a sweetie!

Then when I got to work I had these lovely tulips waiting for me. They are from a co-worker that says I'm always a nice friend to her.

My Weekend.

I actually enjoyed my weekend. Friday we didn't have work due to the extreme ice conditions. I was doing laundry and Blake wanted to mess with the laundry basket.

So I turned it upside down on him. But he looks so happy! Then, while I was doing my hair and make up....I remembered when Devon was little we drew a mustache on him. So I drew one on Blake!

Saturday when I got home from work, I took my little man on his first ride in his wagon. He loved it. He hung out with our neighbors all day and night and it was fun and relaxing! I heart weekends like that!

One Year Old!

Just a quick post! My baby turned one today!!!! We did a photo shoot this morning. Turned out great. The party is tomorrow. I'll update soon! Enjoy the photos!!!

My Weekend

I had a really nice weekend!

Friday night I stayed home with my boys. When they went to bed I organized a few things around the house.

Saturday my daughter watched the boys for a little while. I was able to get some errands done, without children.

When I got home I got the baby and met up with a friend!

We went for a drive and took all these pictures. It was so much fun!

Later that night, I watched a friend's daughters.

We played Just Dance on the Wii and danced our asses off!

Honestly, I haven't had that much fun in awhile.

Sunday was a chill day. I was pretty lazy most of the morning.

Then I took Alexys and a friend to the mall and then when they were done....

We came home and played Just Dance again! Let me just point out that I totally schooled my daughter! IT WAS AWESOME!!! There wasn't a song she could beat me at!
