It doesn't get easier....

Today would have been your 6th birthday, Alayna.  We all thought that as time went on things would get easier.  We thought once the trial was over things would get easier.  When we knew you were with your brother, Grandma and Uncle Kenny we thought things would get easier.  THEY DON'T!

You are thought about almost daily by everyone that knew you.  I only met you a hand full of time yet you cross my mind often.  I can't even imagine the pain your daddy is going though but know that he loves you dearly.  He is still having a very hard time dealing with your passing.  I don't believe it will ever get easier for him.

Know that we love you and celebrate the life that you did get to live your short time on earth.  Grandma is releasing balloons for you today so look for them.

Love you!

Alayna Marie

You were missed very much today, Alayna Marie.  It has been 2 years since you were taken from us.  I never met your brother and only met you a handful of times but you are in our family's thoughts often.  Every time we see a butterfly we say...there goes Alayna.  It has become your symbol.  It rained all day.  I know you just wanted to be all around us.  Don't worry baby girl, you will never be forgotten and hopeful justice will be served soon.  Sweet dreams honey, until we meet again.

Alayna Marie

I can't believe it has been a year already. I barely knew you but not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind. I remember when I heard the news. My heart hurt so much for your daddy. I left work to be with him. Not that it would help, but it is always nice to have family at a time like that. I know you are in a better place now. I'm sure Grandma (your great-grandma) is taking special care of you. We will see your smiling face one day again...until then, watch over us and keep us safe. Know that you are dearly missed by many. Love you Alayna Marie!
