And they danced
Sunday night Robert and I were sitting around outside the garage drinking a glass of wine while the kids played. Then my oldest, Alexys, and youngest, Blake, decided to dance.
I know what you are thinking....yes, there was music. But they looked so cute!
Alexys is two-steppin with him hear. I have to capture these moments now. As they grow older I know occasions like this will be less frequent. I use to hate the age gap with the three kids but now I actually like it. Gives them a chance to appreciate each other for different things. Besides, the older ones help me take care of the baby and keep my sanity after a sleepless night.
Happy hump day!

I need sleep
Since for some reason I've been blessed with extra blog traffic I feel the need to pull together a post to try and keep people a little interested. Problem is....I have nothing!
I do however have an issue in my household. The cute little baby you see in the photo...he wakes up EVERY night between 10 and 11 and will NOT go back to sleep in his own bed!
Now, I love my children with all my heart and would do anything for them but enough is enough. This has gone one for about 2 weeks. I don't sleep well when the cutest little baby in the world is snuggled next to me. Also, hubby and I have no alone time (know what I mean). I think we will just have to bite the bullet one night and stay up while he screams at us until he starts sleeping in his bed again.
But he's still the cutest baby!

He's a trooper
This little boy of mine is a trooper. He woke me up at 8:00 am Saturday. So I got up and got ready. By 10 we were out the door shopping for some new decor. He was a good ALL day. Sitting in the car then the buggy at stores. A few stores didn't have buggies so we (my neighbor and I) took turns holding his chunky little butt. The above photo was at the second to last store. He didn't nap all day. He had finally fell asleep in the car and then we got to Michael's Craft store. When I was carrying him in I was trying to get him to lay his head down. Nope, he sat straight up with his eyes closed. As soon as we got inside and put him in the buggy he layed his little head down. Cutest thing I've ever seen!

He makes me smile
This little boy makes me smile, alot! He is getting his own personality and I love it. I love that ever morning when I change his diaper, he wants kisses. I love that when I pick him up from daycare he is so excited to see me he almost shakes. I love the way he giggles when I take off his shoes and socks. I love the cute little way he tries to blow kisses. I love the way he plays peek-a-boo. I love that when he gets sleepy, he snuggles.
I love this boy!

A child's love

This is one of my favorite photos from Blake's first birthday party. Blake stuck his hand right in Robert's mouth. I love seeing these two together. I think having a child when we are older makes you appreciate things a little more. Don't get me wrong, we totally love our other two kids, but we were both very young. We had no idea what we were doing and were not really mentally "ready" for the family thing. We made it work though. We have three wonderful kids that are my pride and joy! You don't know love until you have a love from a child...so precious and pure. Hug your babies a little more!

My Weekend.
I actually enjoyed my weekend. Friday we didn't have work due to the extreme ice conditions. I was doing laundry and Blake wanted to mess with the laundry basket.

One Year Old!

It just hit me
Yesterday Devon, my 10 year old, was left home alone for the first time. His sister left the house at 4 and i called him at 4:30 and 5. I was probably more stressed about it then him. I text Alexys and said "you have only been gone an hour and I've already checked on him twice". She laughed at me and I responded with "damn you kids for growing up". And she said "at least you still have Blake". I didn't respond. That comment didn't feel right. As I was driving home it hit me.I'm an emotional person, I know this and have accepted this. I cry watching the biggest loser because I get so happy for them when they lose 5 pounds and tell their sad story.
So, like I said, it hit me. Like out of no where I started sobbing. I was even like "WTF is wrong with me".
Alexys will be 18 this summer and then she will possibly move out the next summer after high school. She has grown up before my eyes. I met her when she was 6.
Devon is staying home now by himself. In a year and a half he will be in middle school.
I remember when I was younger time seemed to drag. You couldn't wait for school to be over and then the summers flew by. I felt like I was in school forever! Why is it when you are a parent the time always flies by? I feel like just the other day I was giving birth to Blake and he will be a year next Saturday.
I'm proud of all my kids and their accomplishments, don't get me wrong. But I also miss when they were little and liked to be cuddled. I will admit, Devon is still young enough that he likes to snuggle when he is sleepy. Alexys and I send random sweet texts to one another saying how greatful we are for one another. And Blake is just a baby....and I soak that up as much as I can.

My weekend!
On Saturday we did Devon's birthday party with his friends at the skating ring. It was a lot of fun. He even said it was the best birthday....ever!
Sunday was a lazy day and it was amazing. Alexys and I played Wii for about an hour or so and then I did some laundry. Robert and I went to the store for dinner stuff and then I came back and went through a box in the closet, slowly trying to organize.
This weekend he will be at the deer lease so I'm hoping to get a lot of things organized, we will see.

Who does this happen to?
Honestly! This morning has been interesting so far. I pull on to the street that Blake's daycare is on and I hear a very wet noise. Ugh! I think to myself, Blake must have spit up, alot. I pull into daycare and open up the back door expecting to find spit up everywhere. Nope. I have a beautiful smile on the most handsome baby out there. I see no spit up, must have been a nasty burp right? WRONG!!! I proceed to unbuckle Blake from the car seat. I notice that my hand is moist. WTF? Maybe he did spit up but managed to miss his bib? Weird. Then I notice that both his thighs are wet. Oh no! That's right! Blake had such a gross, disgusting, watery poop that it came out of his diaper and through his pants and on to the car seat cover. AWESOME. I pick him up and carry him into daycare with my arms completely extended like he is the stinkiest boy ever, because he is. The whole time, Blake is smiling and giggling. I walk into his room and the teachers just start laughing at me. And I say "Honestly, who does this happen to?". And the teachers just take him and say "No one that would handle it as good as you.". I could just laugh. It's not Blake's fault really. It is just random luck that we were in the car. So I help the teacher change him. I know what some of you are thinking. I pay them so I should just let them do it. But, I love his teachers. They are with him more waking hours during the week then I am. Besides, I'm not the mom that drops the kid of and leaves. So I help her take the nasty diaper off, i did let her clean him bottom and then helped her get the poopy clothes off. They were nice enough to ask me if I wanted to go get my car seat cover and they would through it in the washer machine with his clothes. THEY ARE AWESOME! So, that is how my day began. I'm hoping that it gets much better. At least I found humor in it. Hope everyone else has a wonderful Tuesday!

Pumpkin Patch
I am behind on posts, I know...trying to catch up. A few weeks ago I took my boys to the pumpkin patch. They had a blast.
