I think I'm funny....

Saturday my mom sent me a text "Send me a picture of my baby".  I walked over to the bed where my youngest was sleeping, planning on taking a photo of him and stopped.  Then I smirked!  I then turned the camera around and sent her this photo:

After all, I AM  her baby not Blake, right?  She found this less then funny and called me a biotch....and then I sent her a pic of my sleeping boy (not this one but another one, I already deleted the photo).

I thought I was pretty funny!

Fat Tuesday

Another week has gone by where I haven't even looked at that stupid treadmill in the garage.  But, I did somehow (by the grace of God) lose a pound!  Not sure how, I still eat crap and don't seem to get any exercise but I'll take it.

I hope everyone else is doing well with weight loss.

I still remember

I still remember that day.  I had gotten to work at the mortgage company and everyone was huddled around the t.v.  I was not ready for what I saw.  The World Trade Center Buildings were burning.  They told me planes had flown right into them.  I was in disbelief.  How could something like this happen?  My husband called me that morning to check on me.  He said alot of the women at his work were freaking out a little so he wanted to make sure I was ok.  At this time we lived RIGHT by the airport.  Planes use to fly so close to the ground over our house we could read the numbers on them.  As we all know, flights were stopped!  When you get so use to hearing the roar of planes day in and day out, it was very eerie to have silence.  I remember seeing all the photos in days to come of all the destruction.

Yesterday someone posted a 9-11 video from youtube.com on facebook.  I cried!  I've never actually watched the video where the planes flew right into the building.  My heart sank all over again.  So many people lost those they loved.  I couldn't even imagine.

I like to think America has come a long way since that day.  We learned to stand as one and console each other and help one another get strong again.

Never ever forget that day.....ever.

Wordless Wednesday: A Storm is Coming

Here is a picture while we were at camp this past weekend.  A small wind storm and slight rain was blowing in.  Love the colors.

Feel free to link up with Angry Julie Monday for Wordless Wednesday.

Fat Tuesday

So I lost a pound.  I'm not really excited, it was probably just water weight.  I need to get on the ball but there just isn't enough time in my day.  I only get 5-6 hours of sleep a night as it is so I can't cut much more of that out.

Hope everyone else is doing awesome with their weight loss.

Last First Days

My kiddos started school last Tuesday (I know, I'm late to blog about it)...and it was kind of sad.

This is my beautiful daughter, Alexys, and one of her friends, Amanda.  Alexys is a senior this year.  That means it is her LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!  sniff sniff  She humored me and let me catch a photo before they dashed out.

This is my handsome son, Devon.  He is in 5th grade this year.  What does that mean?  It's his LAST FIRST DAY OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.  Where the hell does the time go?  I still remember taking him on his first day of kindergarten and crying my eyes out.  Not going to lie....I might have gotten a little emotional again this year.  But this time I waited until I got to the car.

It is funny how when we were kids, the school year use to take FOREVER to be over.  Now that I'm a parent, the school years fly by.  I know before I know it, my youngest (now 19 months) will be starting kindergarten.  That will be the last of my babies....and the hardest for me.
